All of the books on the reading list are available at most book retailers, amazon.com, and Barnes and Noble. The prices quoted are for new copies. Used copies can also available for most of these titles at Amazon.com for a substantial discount. A good Hebrew Bible (Tanakh) and prayer book (siddur) are also important to have, but we will let you know which editions are best during class. Note: Couples need to purchase just one set of books.

1.    Shalom Aleichem: Learn to Read the Hebrew Prayerbook   by Noah Golinkin (Author) For this book I suggest going to the Israel Book Shop. It is $15.95 there. You may be able to find some used copies at Amazon.com for less.

 

2.   To Life: A Celebration of Jewish Being and Thinking by Harold S. Kushner (Author) $10.19 at Amazon.com

6.   B’kol Echad: In One Voice  by Cantor Jeffery Shiovitz. This is a small blue book with various Shabbat and Holiday songs and prayers. This is easiest to find at the Israel Book Shop, and probably costs less than $3.
